Tolima Bracelet
One of the primary forms in Tolima goldwork is that of certain breastplates and necklace beads cast by the lost-wax process and finished by hammering. This Bracelet is ornamented with double straight and diagonal lines found in a breastplate in the form of a jaguar-man. The jaguar was a symbol of strength, sagacity and aggressiveness not to mention its golden color.
